Context

Deputy Construction Project Manager

Missions/Main Duties

  • Support the Construction Project Manager in the successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion
  • Lead day-to-day site operations, coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives
  • Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and progress reporting
  • Conduct risk management and mitigation strategies, proactively addressing site challenges
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and the client’s standards
  • Foster a collaborative environment with all project participants, promoting best practice in project execution and communication

Profile/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
  • Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in construction project management
  • Demonstrated management experience overseeing large-scale infrastructure works, preferably within the railway sector
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
  • FIDIC knowledge of FIDIC.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with proven capacity to coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly between Cairo and Alexandria in accordance with project demands

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience managing or supporting railway or public transportation infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with international standards and practices in railway construction
  • Software: Microsoft applications.
