CTR – Regional Technical Centre of Systra India takes care of the international production of major projects at Systra Group level. CTR team has expertise in design of High-Speed Rail, Metro, Conventional Rail, Bridges, Highways, Depots, Stations and Transport Planning. Starting from Feasibility/Concept stage to Detailed Design to IFC/Shop drawings, the disciplines involved have experience of designing in accordance with various international codes and delivered projects across the world.
CTR team has successfully delivered some major projects in UK, UAE, Tanzania, KSA, Australia, Canada and Denmark. One of the major achievements of India CTR team has been the design of HS2 project in UK. We played an instrumental role in delivering 3 major Sublots on HS2 with our teams proactively engaging with Front Office in UK and delivering beyond client expectations. This resulted in India team receiving many accolades from the contractor BBV and client HS2.
CTR team in India is proficient in working on multi-disciplinary projects integrating Design, BIM and Drawing production in a seamless workflow incorporating different software. The technical and management teams within CTR get an opportunity to work and interact with other CTR teams within Systra Group from Paris, Poland, Dubai, Philippines and Brazil.
Understanding the project, Client requirements, Schedule and Budgets. Undertake research and investigation to develop a clear understanding of the ground conditions at project site. Manage, Lead and coordinate all aspects of MEP design activities for assigned projects, ensuring timely and accurate production of deliverables. Oversee the integration of all MEP systems, including HVAC, fire protection, power distribution, lighting, plumbing, and extra voltage (ELV) systems (CCTV, Access control, BMS) , with architectural and civil components—including metro stations, tunnels, viaducts, Depots, Annex buildings, routewide, highways & overall project design. Collaborate with global multi-disciplinary teams, acting as the focal point for MEP design interfaces. Ensure MEP deliverables adhere to SYSTRA policies, quality management systems, safety practices, design and project processes and ISO certifications. Maintain accurate documentation and records for all design coordination activities. Identify and resolve technical issues or design conflicts that arise during the design and construction phases. Through the lifecycle of a design project, you will liaise with specialist engineering teams to ensure that the design work is delivered in accordance with the engineering best practice and in compliance with mandated standards. Collaborate with project management team to develop detailed schedules, monitor progress, manage design costs. Support project scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone deliverables for MEP scope. Proactively working to contribute to a continuous improvement culture raising opportunities for improvement whenever these are identified. Act as primary interface between various MEP disciplines including architects, civil / structural Engineers, Contractors and consultants to track and resolve interface conflicts and ensure efficient workflows. Act as the main point of contact for MEP design queries, change management, and technical issue resolution within project teams. Liaise with project managers, MEP Engineers, civil and systems engineers, and clients to understand and deliver project requirements. Collaborate with project management team to develop detailed schedules, monitor progress, manage design costs. Support project scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone deliverables for MEP scope. Participate in site visits, technical meetings, and support project handover phases. Ensure installations and commissioning comply with the approved designs and quality standards. |
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
Minimum 15 years' relevant experience in MEP design and coordination for large scale metro rail / infrastructure projects
Professional certification (CEng/PE or equivalent) preferred.
Track record of successful MEP design delivery on international projects (UK, Europe, Middle East preferred).
Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort & make independent decision and be a good troubleshooter.
Experienced in Metro rail MEP design Integration.
