We are seeking applications for the position of Geotechnical engineer for Geotechnical engineer.

 

 

Missions/Main Duties

  • Conduct geotechnical site investigations along the proposed ropeway corridor to evaluate site conditions, soil stability, and related environmental impacts.
  • Analyze soil data and ground conditions to inform design and construction decisions for ropeway towers, stations, and corridors.
  • Assess risks associated with soil behavior, slope stability, and ground movement in the context of ropeway infrastructure.
  • Recommend effective geotechnical solutions and design modifications to ensure the safety, sustainability, and climate resilience of the ropeway system.
  • Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental teams to support corridor alignment, station design, and foundation selection.
  • Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for project documentation and approvals.
  • Provide technical input during the construction phase, addressing geotechnical challenges as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant international and local standards, and best practices for ropeway infrastructure projects.

Profile/Skills

  • Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in geotechnical investigation and assessment on ropeway or similar infrastructure projects.
  • Proven knowledge of soil mechanics, slope stability, ground improvement, and geotechnical risk assessment.
  • Experience with geotechnical software and analytical tools.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessment and climate resilience in infrastructure planning.
  • Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills in English.
  • Experience working on international or development projects, especially in challenging terrain or seismic regions, is an advantage.
