We are seeking applications for the position of Network Modeling and Water Supply Design Specialist for Transport Infrastructure project in South Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Review bidders’ technical proposals related to network modeling and water supply system design during the bid evaluation phase.
• Verify and assess detailed hydraulic and network designs submitted by contractors in accordance with project standards and requirements.
• Review and advise on design modifications resulting from unforeseen ground or operational conditions.
• Provide technical advice and guidance to the PMU on all water distribution network issues.
• Design and deliver training modules to build PMU staff capacity in network analysis, modeling, and design.
• Develop and recommend effective mechanisms for leak detection and management to minimize water losses and improve system efficiency.
• Ensure all designs incorporate principles of resilience, sustainability, and adaptability to climatic and urban challenges.

• Master’s degree in civil engineering, Water Supply Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
• At least 20 years of professional experience in designing and managing water supply and distribution projects.
• Minimum 15 years of proven experience in network modeling and design of water distribution systems (including projects with DMAs/DMZs).
• At least 5 years of relevant experience on donor-funded urban/rural water supply development projects.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and training.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
