Context

System Administrator

Missions/Main Duties

  • The System Administrator ensures the operational maintenance of infrastructure services (servers, storage), both physical and virtual, hosting file services, applications, and databases.
  • They participate in the implementation of infrastructure evolution and transformation projects, whether hardware-based, virtualized, or containerized.
  • They are responsible for applying security rules recommended by the IT security team.
  • They ensure the operational maintenance of the group’s hosting platforms while complying with established SLAs.
  • They contribute to the administration of all the group’s hosting platforms (public and private cloud) and collaborate with international IT teams.
  • They produce technical documentation related to assigned projects.

Profile/Skills

  • Provide file services.
  • Manage storage infrastructures.
  • Resolution of tickets escalated by Level 1 IT support.
  • Update security software components (EDR, scanners) across the server fleet.
  • Deploy security patches and firmware updates on servers.
  • Manage backups and archives.
  • Implement infrastructure management policies.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation.
  • Maintain the public cloud.
  • Deploy application developments in both private and public cloud environments of the group.
  • Ensure the monitoring, deployment, maintenance, and renewal of hardware, virtual, and containerized infrastructures.
  • Manage the lifecycle of operating systems supported by the group.
  • Provide technical support by handling escalated requests and participate in IT crisis management.
  • Implement monitoring for hosting infrastructures.
