Systra India's design business line is the leading design team for metros, highways, special bridges, Urban Planning and water projects in India. The team has designed over 900 kms of viaduct & Bridges along with 43 kms of tunnels and 82 underground stations, 345 Elevated & at-grade Stations, 19 Depots besides 300 plus stations being designed currently. The team has also completed 3,165 km of highways detail design projects and 22,506 km of design/ feasibility projects. The team has also worked on detailed design for Drainage and Utilities, design of WTP and STP etc.

We are also very proud to have designed the first monopile in India for the Mumbai Coastal Road project. We have the distinction of designing the fastest implemented metro project in the country with Lucknow and now have broken the record in Kanpur Metro. Apart from Indian projects the team also provides design services to projects as far as Philippines in the east to Columbia in the West.

We are also conversant with BIM (Building Information Modelling) which enhances all stages of the infrastructure life cycle, from design to construction and maintenance, which is why we integrate it into our projects and offer it to our clients. Our design team has extensive exposure to both domestic and international markets, contracts, codes and specification.

We are seeking applications for the position of Structural BIM/CAD Designer for Bengaluru. 

• Modeling & Detailing: Develop complex 3D structural models for underground stations, elevated viaducts, tunnels, and depot buildings using Revit or Open Buildings.
• Technical Leadership: Supervise a team of junior technicians, providing technical guidance on complex reinforcement detailing and structural connections.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Lead clash detection and resolution sessions using Navisworks, specifically managing the interface between Structural, MEP, and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) clearances.

• Standards Compliance: Ensure all models adhere to Project BIM Standards (ISO 19650) and specific Metro authority guidelines.
• 4D/5D Integration: Support the BIM Manager in extracting quantities (QTO) for cost estimation and linking models to construction schedules for sequence simulation.
• Documentation: Generate high-quality 2D GFC (Good for Construction) drawings, sections, and bar bending schedules directly from the 3D BIM environment.

• Experience: 10+ years in structural drafting/modeling, with at least 5 years dedicated to Metro, Rail, or Bridge projects.
• Software Proficiency: * Expert: Revit Structure, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD.
  Preferred: Dynamo (for automation), Bentley OpenRail/OpenBuildings, or Tekla Structures.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) structures, pre-stressed concrete, and steel structures common in Metro stations and viaducts.
• Standards: Knowledge of ISO 19650 and Level 2 BIM workflows.
  Soft Skills: Strong communication skills to liaise with Project Managers and Site Engineers during the kick-off and execution phases.

• Preferred Attributes

  • Experience with Digital Twins and Asset Management handovers.
  • Previous experience working on international Metro projects (e.g., Middle East, Europe, or major Indian Metros).
