We are seeking applications for the position of K3 - Senior Contract Expert (System) for Mumbai Metro Line 10 & 12 Project.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Administer system contracts (CBTC signaling, SCADA, OHE, E&M, rolling stock) per FIDIC Red/Yellow Books, including variation orders, extensions of time (EOT), and price escalations tied to WPI/CPI indices.

  • ead commercial audits, cash flow forecasting, and RA bill certifications; resolve disputes via adjudication or DAB (Dispute Adjudication Board) for high-value claims like signaling delays or supply chain disruptions.
  • Negotiate interim payment certificates (IPCs), retention releases, and performance bank guarantees (PBGs); track liquidated damages (LDs) for milestones like SAT/RSC.

  • This role drives contract lifecycle management from award to financial closeout, minimizing risks from forex volatility, supply chain delays, and interface disputes.
  • The expert will lead the evaluation of claims (EOT, cost, disruption, force majeure, unforeseeable conditions), develop entitlement assessments, and negotiate settlements. They will prepare defense and position papers, support dispute adjudication boards/arbitration, and coordinate with legal counsel as needed. Proactive risk registers, early warning mechanisms, and mitigation plans will be maintained for schedule, cost, and interface risks specific to system packages and brownfield tie-ins.
  • Working closely with system engineers, interface managers, and design teams, the expert will embed clear interface responsibilities and acceptance criteria into contracts, covering depot integration, rolling stock compatibility, traction power coordination, telecom/SCADA data architectures, cybersecurity standards, and station systems. They will align testing and commissioning obligations, performance demonstration, reliability/availability/maintainability (RAM) targets, and spares/tools documentation within contractual frameworks.
  • They will enforce transparent, auditable processes, conflict-of-interest declarations, bid confidentiality, anti-corruption clauses, and compliance with public procurement norms, ensuring full traceability of decisions and records.

  • Education qualification - Engineering Graduate
  • Years of experience -Min 12 Years
  • Prior experience requirement - 4 Years 
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
  • Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
  • Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
  • Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort & make independent decisions and be a good troubleshooter.
