We are seeking an experienced Lead QA/QC Engineer (Civil) to join our consultant supervision team on the Alexandria Raml Tram Project.
Review, evaluate, and approve the Contractor’s Project Quality Plan (PQP), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Civil Method Statements prior to site execution.
Enforce strict compliance with NAT requirements, ISO 9001 quality management standards, and international civil engineering codes (EN, ASTM, ACI).
Establish quality performance KPIs for the main contractor and sub-contractors, performing periodic performance reviews and quality metrics reporting.
Oversee site inspections for ongoing civil works, including excavation, soil stabilization, piling, structural concrete casting, steel reinforcement, track slab beds, stations, and drainage.
Review and approve contractor civil material submittals, concrete mix designs, geotechnical test results, and structural load testing.
Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for non-compliant civil works, conduct root-cause analyses, and oversee the contractor’s corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) until closure.
Plan and execute formal internal quality audits across SYSTRA’s supervision team and external quality audits on contractors, sub-contractors, concrete batching plants, and pre-cast yards.
Ensure accurate quality documentation, test registers, calibration records, and inspection logs are systematically maintained and audited for client handovers.
Act as SYSTRA’s primary focal point for civil quality matters with the Client (NAT).
Lead weekly/monthly quality review meetings with contractors to resolve outstanding NCRs, civil quality holds, and site inspection issues.
Coordinate closely with SYSTRA’s Resident Engineers, Structural Teams, and HSE Inspectors to foster a robust quality culture across all civil construction fronts.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university. (Mandatory)
Experience: 8 to 10 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) with a strong background in Consultant-side supervision for major infrastructure projects.
Languages: Business fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken) is required.
Deep knowledge of international and local civil engineering standards (EN, ASTM, ACI, Egyptian Code for Structural Concrete).
Expertise in auditing civil contractor submittals, Method Statements, ITPs, concrete mix designs, and geotechnical reports.
Comprehensive understanding of quality governance, hold points, witness points, and NCR workflows from a consultant supervision perspective.
