SYSTRA has completed 17,000+ Square kilometer of Statutory Master Planning and 15+ City Development Plans (CDPs).

We are seeking applications for the position of Social impact specialist for Urban Transport project.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Conduct Social Impact Assessments (SIAs)for the ropeway project, focusing on local communities and ecosystems.
  • Prepare comprehensive social impact reports detailing findings, risks, and recommendations.
  • Assess implications of land acquisition and resettlement, ensuring fair and transparent processes.
  • Recommend mitigation measures to minimize adverse social and cultural impacts.
  • Ensure compliance with national and international social safeguards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Integrate findings from surveys, stakeholder consultations, and community engagement into project planning.
  • Collaborate with engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers to align social considerations with technical design.

Profile/Skills

  • Master’s degree in social science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in conducting SIAs for infrastructure projects, preferably ropeways or urban transport systems.
  • Proven expertise in community engagement, land acquisition assessments, and cultural impact analysis.
  • Experience working on international projects with intermittent assignments.
  • Strong knowledge of social safeguard policies (e.g., World Bank, ADB, or equivalent).
  • Mandatory: Candidates must demonstrate professional experience in at least three different countries.
  • Mandatory: Indian nationals meeting the above criteria will also be considered as international experts.
