Context

We are looking for a Civil Engineer to support the delivery of a variety of engineering, transportation and infrastructure design projects. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality client solutions while working to agreed budgets, programmes and quality standards.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical design, coordinated project delivery and developing their expertise within a multidisciplinary infrastructure environment.

Missions/Main Duties

  • Produce outline and detailed civil engineering designs for both single-discipline and multidisciplinary projects, ensuring outputs are practical, coordinated and aligned with project requirements.
  • Take ownership of your project activities by following established procedures and checking deliverables to maintain quality and consistency throughout delivery.
  • Work closely with internal disciplines and external engineers to ensure designs are effectively integrated and developed in line with project specifications.
  • Provide clear and timely updates on project progress to senior engineers, technical leads and project management teams.
  • Apply health, safety and quality procedures throughout the project lifecycle to support the wellbeing of colleagues and others affected by SYSTRA’s operations.
  • Contribute positively to wider business goals by supporting continuous improvement and business enhancement initiatives.
  • Take an active role in your own professional development, with support from SYSTRA, in line with your professional body.
  • Champion SYSTRA’s values and behavioural framework by helping to create a culture of excellence, collaboration, respect and empowerment.

Profile/Skills

  • Bring experience or knowledge of CDM Regulations and CSM Regulations, with an understanding of how these apply to engineering project delivery.
  • Offer experience working as a design engineer under supervision, with responsibility for deliverables within a defined work package or project.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination within civil, transportation or infrastructure projects.
  • Show the ability to support surveys, technical assessments, reporting and the preparation of engineering recommendations where required.
  • Hold a degree, BEng or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Have Graduate Membership of a recognised professional body, such as ICE or equivalent, or be working towards professional membership.
