We are seeking applications for the position of Hydrology expert/ water resources specialist in various cities across India.

Missions/Main Duties

 
  • Conduct hydrological investigations and analyses for rivers, lakes, canals, estuaries, reservoirs, and urban water systems associated with the Water Metro Project.
  • Assess catchment characteristics, rainfall-runoff relationships, flow estimation, hydrographs, sediment transport, and flood frequencies.
  • Develop water balance studies and evaluate water availability for project planning and operations.
  • Review and validate hydrological data from various sources, including government agencies and field investigations.
  • Lead and contribute to the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for water resources and water transport infrastructure projects.
  • Provide hydrological and hydraulic design inputs for terminals, jetties, embankments, drainage structures, navigation channels, and associated infrastructure.
  • Utilize GIS and Remote Sensing tools for watershed delineation, flood mapping, terrain analysis, and spatial data management.
  • Develop thematic maps, hydrological databases, and spatial analytics outputs.
  • Integrate geospatial data with hydrological models and project planning tools.

 

Profile/Skills

 
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in hydrology, water resources planning, hydraulic studies, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in the Preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for Water Resources Projects.
  • Should not be more than 50 years of age as on the date of submission of tender.
  • Graduate Degree in:
    • Civil Engineering, or
    • Water Resources Engineering, or
    • Environmental Engineering, or
    • Hydrology
    • Master’s Degree in:
      • Hydrology,
      • Water Resources Engineering,
      • Hydraulic Engineering,
      • Environmental Science, or
      • Related disciplines from a recognized university
